Spam and The Art of War

There's a reason that The Art of War is so highly regarded in the world of business and (of course) in the world of war. And it's unfortunate that people keep needing to learn its lessons the hard way. The latest example of people not understanding The Art of War is the Blue Security "cyber-war" on spam. The war escalated two weeks ago and ended yesterday, May 16, when Blue Security ceased operations. The spammers are alive and well.

To learn more about all this, see the links in the above paragraph and the BlueSecurity tag. For an alternative way to fight spam, see my Reverse Spam Filtering: Winning Without Fighting , which I wrote more than four years ago.
