Congratulations to Joshua Micah Marshall
Now that I have a blogroll, I'm getting much more sane about blog browsing, i.e., I'm mainly looking only at the ones in my blogroll, which I've chosen because they are intelligent and non-toxic. I just saw
this delightful blog entry at Josh Marshall's TalkingPointsMemo.com (which is in my blogroll). In it he mentions that he won an "opinion award" from This Week magazine and he is their
Blogger of the Year. I'm happy for him and happy to see that other people agree with me that this is a worthwhile blog, but the delightful part is his description of his conversation with
Arthur Schlesinger, Jr., which includes this:
"...Schlesinger’s wife asked me to explain to them just what a blog is."
