In this POPFile discussion thread, John Graham-Cumming announced the release of POPFile v0.20.1. I'm especially interested in the following.
I'm interested in this because I want to run POPFile on my incoming SMTP server as my mail arrives at the server.
I'm also a big NNTP user so that part should be useful to me too.

In a future version POPFile will add official support for message classification
through the SMTP and NNTP (Usenet news) protocols. There are currently proxy
modules for these protocols that work with v0.20.1, but they have not been
fully tested. If you are interested in getting them get them ...
